Fiji receives daily flights from the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Asia (Nadi Airport is a 10-hour direct flight from L.A). A 15-minute taxi ride from Nadi Airport gets you to the harbor in time to meet the ships travelling to the Blue Lagoon that day. Our staff will meet you at the ship and bring you to the Flying Fish in our longboat.
On a protected cove at the end of Long Beach, the Flying Fish is a short walk from the peaceful village of Vuake, in the heart of the Yasawa Islands Group (across “The Blue Lagoon” from where the famous movies were filmed).
Fiji is 333 islands in the Southwest Pacific, many uninhabited (we can kayak to two of these islands just offshore). Blessed by perfect weather most of the year, you can expect temperatures in the 70s and mid-80s. 60 degrees is the coldest it’s ever been at the Flying Fish Organic Village!
We are sheltered from extreme weather by lush volcanic hills, and the Blue Lagoon that protects us from the open ocean and the Trade Winds. Gorgeous coral reefs protect us from high seas. Fresh sea breezes keep us comfortable. You can easily walk up beautiful mountain ridges for amazing views.
