Imagine Choices...from kayaking and volleyball, to village visits and meke dancing, there is much to do. Or you can lie on the beach and read a book. It’s your choice.

Music gatherings, retreats & workshops make 2008 an exciting year. Volunteering opportunities include natural building, beach combing & erosion control.

Flying Fish Point

Our Gracious Hosts...Paolo, his brother Ratu Simeli, and their families built the Flying Fish resort themselves. They’ve worked at resorts for years, hosting overseas visitors with a distinctly Fijian hospitality, putting everyone at ease (with kava & singing). New friendships blossom here like the fresh frangipani and hibiscus you’ll find in your room. The wonderful Fijian women make childcare available.

Paolo’s sons, Tui and Vena have both cooked at 3-star resorts and are pleased to be cooking for all of us at their home on the Blue Lagoon. Prepared lovingly, the cuisine is delicious and fresh, featuring organic Fijian food: coconut cream, three kinds of bananas, papaya, limes, homemade roti and pancakes, cassava and seafood caught that day.

Dan

Amos, our boat master can take you snorkeling at surrounding reefs and islands, to the Blue Lagoon beach (from the film “The Blue Lagoon”), or to catch dinner ourselves.

Philip brings 20 years of adventure travel leadership (and many years as a natural building educator) to the Flying Fish. He encourages alternative energy, recycling and environmental cleanups and gives free training to Vuake villagers in natural building.

Fiji attracts international visitors from all over the world, so be prepared for a cultural experience and to make new friends!
